Highlights:
The main objective of this project is to develop a home automation system with RF controlled remote. As technology is advancing so houses are also getting smarter. Modern houses are gradually shifting from conventional switches to centralized control system, involving wireless controlled switches. Presently, conventional wall switches located in different parts of the house makes it difficult for the user to go near them to operate. Even more it becomes more difficult for the elderly or physically handicapped people to do so. Remote controlled home automation system provides a simpler solution with RF controller technology.

This project is intended to attain vital cycle switching ??? a technique to get rid of complete cycle, cycles or fractions of cycles of an AC signal. It is a renowned and aged technique of managing AC power, principally across linear loads for instance heaters brought into play in electric oven. However, the concept of achieving the cycle stealing of voltage waveform by the use of microcontroller can be very precise as per the program written in assembly C language so that the actual time-average voltage or current experienced at the load is proportionately lower than the whole signal if applied to the load.

In this system, the matrix keypad is interfaced to the first microcontroller for input action, while the second one is connected to an output of 16*2 LCD display, and the third one is connected to the load through a relay driver. A buzzer connected to the third microcontroller is used to alert the user in the event of any deviation.
