The IOT base Transmission fault detection system can detect the fault when the line breaks down and it also shuts down the power supply through the faulty line until the operator shuts down the entire line once he confirms the fault. The system monitors the line fault in sequence for 3 lines namely R, Y, B Phases. Once if fault is detected the system sends the notification to the line monitoring station, it also provides the information about the faulty line and the distance at which the line is broken. The system is also capable of sending the line voltage to the monitoring station

The Electric Power System is divided into many different sections. One of which is the transmission system, where power is transmitted from generating stations and substations via transmission lines into consumers. Both methods could encounter various types of malfunctions is usually referred to as a “Fault”. Fault is simply defined as a number of undesirable but unavoidable incidents can temporarily disturb the stable condition of the power system that occurs when the insulation of the system fails at any point. Moreover, if a conducting object comes in contact with a bare power conductor, a short circuit, or fault, is said to have occurred. The causes of faults are many, they include lighting, wind damage, trees falling across transmission lines, vehicles or aircraft colliding with the transmission towers or poles, birds shorting lines or vandalism. In this study, the causes and effects of faults in the overhead transmission lines were the focus of the research. Some of the many causes of faults and some detection methods will be discussed. These faults lead to substantial damage to the power system equipment. In India it is common, the faults might be LG (Line to Ground), LL (Line to Line), 3L (Three lines) in the supply systems and these faults in three phase supply system can affect the power system.

Note

Three phase transmission line fault detection over iotthe project of a good price for the engineering projects. It is a very comparative engineering project. It is a very good BE final year project. It is a project for core electrical based project. This project is IOT based project.

The engineering projects give in the ELECTROSAL HI- TECH PVT.LTD. The best place for the degree final year engineering projects as well as for core Electronics, Electrical and core electrical student’s final year for the golden opportunity.

Three phase transmission line fault detection over iotis easy project and idea for the core electronics and electrical and core electrical, electronics base students and 100% output is done.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • This three phase transmission line fault detection gives the fault location and immediately isolates the faulty part from the healthy part of the network.
  • The circuit installed in power line this faulty area creates messages of location provided to it and will transmit it directly to the area in-charge technician rather than to Electricity board.
  • At each and every pole the RYB indicators are placed which gives ease of access of faulty phase up to the fault location.
