Description

The Autonomous Lawn Mower is an intelligent robotic system designed to automatically cut grass without human intervention. Traditional grass cutting methods require manual effort, consume time, and may lead to operator fatigue and safety risks. To overcome these limitations, this project proposes an automated, battery-powered lawn mower equipped with sensors and a microcontroller-based control system.The system uses ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection and navigation. A microcontroller (such as Arduino ) processes sensor data and controls the movement of DC motors through a motor driver circuit. A high-speed motor is used to rotate the cutting blade for effective grass trimming. The mower operates on a rechargeable battery, making it eco-friendly and energy-efficient.The main objective of this project is to reduce human effort, improve cutting efficiency, enhance safety, and provide uniform grass cutting. The system is designed to be compact, cost-effective, and suitable for residential lawns and small garden areas.This system ??integrates concepts from embedded systems, robotics, motor control, and sensor technology, offering a practical solution for smart lawn maintenance and automation applications.
