Description

The main objective of this project is to provide an uninterrupted power supply to a load, by selecting the supply source automatically from any available one out of 4 such as mains, generator, inverter, and solar in the absence of power supply. The demand for electricity is increasing every day and frequent power cut is causing many problems in various areas like industries, hospitals, and houses. An alternative arrangement for power sources is thus desirable.

This project employs four switches to demonstrate/activate the respective failure of the source of power supply. When any of the switches is pressed, it shows the absence of that particular source. Switches are connected to the PIC microcontroller as input signals. A PIC microcontroller is used. The output of the microcontroller is given to the relay driver IC, which switches the appropriate relay to maintain uninterrupted supply to the load. Output is observed using a lamp drawing power from the mains initially. On the failure of the mains supply (which is actuated by pressing the appropriate switch) the load gets supply from the next available source i.e. an inverter. If the inverter also fails, it switches over to the next available source, and so on. The current status, like which source is supplying power to the load is also displayed on an LCD. As it is not feasible to provide all 4 different sources of supply, one source with an alternate parallel arrangement is provided to get the same function for demo purposes. However, 4 different sources if available they can be used.

note

Priority based supply selection using pic microcontroller is the project of last year’s engineering project, BE final year engineering project. This project is used for BE last year electrical department students is used. This project is priority supply based project. This project is use for the school level students.

Priority based supply selection using pic microcontroller.it is a very comparative engineering project and electrical project. It is a very good BE electrical final year and diploma final year electrical based project.it is project for pic microcontroller based project idea for the electrical projects is an selection keys based project.

The engineering projects give in the ELECTROSAL HI- TECH PVT.LTD. The best place for the degree and diploma final year engineering projects as well as for electrical students’ final year for the golden opportunity.

Priority based supply selection using pic microcontroller is an easy project and idea for the electrical degree and diploma base students & 100% output is done.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • PIC microcontroller based project
  • Provide an uninterrupted power supply
  • If any of the two supply sources working at a time then the priority always goes to the respective first one.
