Description

Road traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of death and serious injuries worldwide. Immediate detection of accidents and timely deployment of safety mechanisms can significantly reduce the severity of injuries and save lives. This project proposes a ??Intelligent Car Accident Prevention & Airbag System??to enhance passenger safety during road accidents.

The system uses a vibration sensor??to detect sudden jerks or impacts caused by vehicle collisions. When an accident is detected, the sensor triggers an electric air pump??that inflates the airbag instantly to protect the occupants from severe impact.

To improve system reliability, a limit switch??is incorporated to monitor the proper deployment of the airbag. If the airbag fails to inflate within a predefined time period due to system malfunction or power failure, an alert notification is automatically sent to the concerned authorities indicating airbag failure.

The proposed system is cost-effective, reliable, and suitable for real-time vehicle safety applications. It demonstrates how sensor-based automation and communication technology can play a vital role in reducing accident fatalities and improving emergency response systems.
